Billions of dollars and tons of American lives lost for this? Time to stop chanting "USA-USA-USA", put down the American flags and save the Apple Pie for another day. These people are a lost cause and we are yet another nation with no chance of fast forwarding this culture anywhere within 1000 years of the modern world. There is almost zero historical examples of change within a society that is sustainable unless it comes from inside that society. MAYBE if it was a political change, opinion could be influenced. This is 99.99% religious and unless whatever gOD they believe in comes down and says the nutjob with the dirty beard is full of shit, the nutjob with the dirty beard will continue to be the medium between them and their goD regardless of how many schools, roads and free happy meals we give away. Bring the troops home, send them on a cruise for a month and take the estimated money saved from now until the end of 2012 and disperse as bonuses to the troops (or troops families that have been killed) for time served.
