Good topic, thanks for letting us get involved.
Have many ideas, here are a few.....
Is it time to start bringing in former athletes to the videos? It would be great to get an athletes perspective on the games, especially from a handicapping angle. Would love to see the guys on the panels talk to former players about particular motivations or strategies that could help us further evaluate games and make more accurate picks. My guess is that these guys are regular visitors to Vegas and might like to sit down and talk sports with some handicapping experts.
Sometimes a customer might be more interested in a particular game more than a particular handicapper. For instance, I might be inclined to pay a fee for all of the picks and write-ups for the Jets games, instead of the picks of one guy hoping that he lands on that game. Customers could do this for select teams for each week, each month, or the entire season. That way we could get all of the picks each week for our favorite teams without having to subscribe to every handicapper. This could even be expanded to include divisions....maybe have a set fee for all of the picks involving the NFC East for 4 game blocks.
This is very tough indeed, but needs to be addressed....You guys are the best at this, and it's why I keep coming back, but TRANSPARENCY is the key. Displaying records is great, and you guys are excellent when it comes to keeping track of your handicappers. One more thing I'd like to see is a nod towards VALUE along with a track record. For instance, not every handicapper charges the same prices for their picks, packages, etc.....That being said, if two handicappers are both +10 units for a month, but handicapper A's picks cost 3 units and handicapper B's picks cost 6 units, then handicapper A was the better VALUE that month. Yes, this is a tough way to look at things, but customers are looking for a value proposition and comparing the cost of picks vs. results is a good way to determine the best VALUE handicappers.
Thanks for opening this thread. Best wishes for continued success -
