You revert to MAX PROTECT when you're weak! I like to build my NFL wagers from the inside-out. The BASE-UNITS for any team, are the respective lines. If you see a weakness in either line, then you can extrapolate outward. This reasoning follows a VIRAL assumption. If the head is infected, then the body will suffer. In this case, Jacksonville has an injury-riddled offensive line, and the replacement players are... Read more

The Sophistication of the NFL: Minority hiring and the return of defense. By The King Maker If I told you that we have been led to slaughter by our own preconceived notions ; that we have wagered with certainty on only half the facts almost all the time; and that our way of seeing the NFL has been systematically hidden from us for the last 38 years, then would you call me a fool? Let's get to the point. The... Read more

By The King Maker We all know that proper money management and a decent winning percentage are all you need to survive in the world of gambling. Anyone that can manage their impulses and stick to a conservative plan will do well in a business that preys on the multiple faults of its practitioners. The foundation of the gaming industry was fostered within the fractured psyche of of the world's most unprofessional, deluded... Read more

This is mostly true...but there's more! Maybe we could look at this way: I think that dominant running teams with a strong defense are VERY hard to beat. Let me show you the facts behind that assumtion: I want to stick to the statistical AVERAGES... Read more

Capping a Depth Chart Is Important. Last night you may have seen that I pointed out a distinct shift in the depth chart for Kansas State. The Wildcat Coach pulled his starting ILB and moved him to a reserve role at OLB, then started a JUCO in his spot, and set him beside a Junior that had started a total of 2 games in his career. On the line he shifted his best run stopping DE over to the right, and started a Freshman... Read more

Long-Term Tends Can Be Dangerous Can you rely on a trend like this? Pitcher X is 31-12 VS The Phillies The answer is NO . That trend may be built on several surgeries, numerous weather conditions, multiple teams, hundreds of different supporting batters, hundreds of opposing hitters, numerous coaching changes, hundreds of "mechanical" adjustments, aging bones, an altered center of gravity, a complete change... Today I learned that the right and left poles at McAfee Coliseum are only 330, and that a wind blowing out to RIGHT, at anything above 19 MPH, will carry ANY hard-hit, fly ball, WAAAY out and over anything right of Center. So much for the pitcher's park, eh? For me, the small section just to the left of the right-field foul pole was clearly a home-run zone for ANY lefty , but to see one of those sky-rockets fly...
