Alabama is the defending national champ and loses it's top offensive player in Richardson and also a slew of talent on their defense. Michigan brings back a lot of talent including Denard Robinson who is arguably the best offensive weapon in the nation. I think that there is value on Michigan with 12 points. If you noticed the line opened Alabama -14 and has crept down, if it would somehow reach 14 again, I would gladly take Michigan with 2 touchdowns on a neutral field. Also, depending on what Hoke's plans are, whether he will let Denard be himself in a spread type system which benefits him best Alabama could have some trouble with the spread as they have in the past. In 2009 Sugar Bowl against Utah, 2010 South Carolina, Auburn, and even LSU threw in some new wrinkles in the 2010 game out of the gun that really caused confusion on Alabama's part, also in the 2011 LSU game when Jefferson entered and Alabama struggled with the option. I think Alabama is the more talented team and the team that will prob win the game but, with the points ill take the wolverines in a spot where I think they'll come ready to play and Robinson will make plays with his feet to keep them close.
