Los Angeles Clippers vs Oklahoma City Thunder Game 2 Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

Round 2 of the NBA Playoffs continues on Wednesday night and we will see Los Angeles Clippers travel to Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder in game 2 of their best-of seven series. The game has a start time of 9:30 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on TNT. Vegas odds have the Thunder listed as 5.5 point favorites, while the total sits at 215.5.

Stat Packs: The LA Clippers have a leg up on the Oklahoma City Thunder after their 17 point win in game 1 of the series. The Clippers have now won 25 of their last 32 games and they have gone 25-20 on the road this year. Offensively they came into the playoffs as the top scoring team in the league and they have continued that in the playoffs, scoring 112.3 ppg so far. In the playoffs, Blake Griffin leads the offense with 23.9 ppg, while Chris Paul (19.3 ppg), Jamal Crawford (16.8 ppg), JJ Reddick (14.0 ppg) and DeAndre Jordan (11.5 ppg) also average in double figures for the Clippers. Defensively the Clippers have allowed 101.4 ppg on 44.3% shooting for the year overall but so far in the playoffs they have allowed 106.3 pg on 47.0% shooting.

The Oklahoma City Thunder got revenge for their playoff ousting by the Grizzlies last year, and may have had a hangover from that series as they were never a threat to the Clippers in game 1 of this series.  The Thunder are now just 5-14 ATS in their last 19 home games vs the Clippers. The Thunder have averaged 105.8 ppg on 46.8% shooting for the year overall, but so far in the playoffs they have put up just 102.5 ppg on, 43.8% shooting. In the playoffs, Kevin Durant leads the team in scoring, averaging 29.3 ppg, while Russell Westbrook is second, at 26.0 ppg. Serge Ibaka (12.9 ppg) and Reggie Jackson (11.1 ppg) round out the double digit scorers on the team. Westbrook leads the team in both rebounding (9.0) and assists (7.4). Defensively the Thunder allowed just 99.8 ppg on 43.6% shooting for the year and they have been right on that in the playoffs, allowing 99.9 ppg on 43.2% shooting.

Pick:   I will take a shot at the Under in this one. The Thunder have the ability to play much better defense than they did in game one, and I see them turning to that defense in this one, especially with their backs against the wall as it is. The Thunder have allowed just 99.2 ppg on 43.6% shooting on their home floor and should come up with a good game plan to control the pace in this one. I also can;t see the Clippers hitting 51.7% from long range again and certainly can't see Chris Paul going 8 for 9 from deep again. Thunder home games have averaged 205.8 ppg on the year and that's just about where I see this one falling.
