NBA Free Picks Oklahoma City Thunder vs Indiana Pacers

NBA basketball on Sunday afternoon and we will see Oklahoma City Thunder travel to the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana to take on the Indiana Pacers. The game has a start time of 1:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on ABC. Vegas odds have the Pacers listed as 2 point favorites, while the total sits at 192.5.

Stat Packs: Oklahoma City comes into this game with a 58-21, which is the 2nd best record in the NBA this year. The Thunder are 25-14 on the road this year and they beat Indiana back in December, by a 118-94 score. The Thunder are now completely healthy and that means they will be a force in this years playoffs. OKC comes in as a strong offensive team that ranks 5th in scoring (106.4 ppg) and 6th in shooting (47.3%). The Thunder are led by potential player of the year in Kevin Durant, who comes in averaging 31.9 ppg. Russell Westbrook has missed time this year, but when healthy he is the engine that makes this team go. Russell has played just 44 games this year and has averaged 21.8 ppg and 6.9 apg. Serge Ibaka is 3rd on the team in scoring, while leading them in rebounding (8.6 rpg). The Thunder also know hoe to play some defense as they have allowed just 99.6 ppg (12th) on 43.4% shooting (3rd).

The Indiana Pacers have been reeling down the stretch, as they have won 4 of their last 9 games to fall behind the Miami Heat in the chase for the top spot in the East. Speaking of the Heat, the Pacers come in off a 98-86 loss to them. The Pacers really make their stand at the defensive end of the floor, where they are ranked 2nd in points allowed (92.4 ppg), 1st in defensive FG% (42%) and 4th in 3pt defensive FG% (34.7%). On offense they are well below averaged as they score just 96.8 ppg (24th) on 44.7% shooting (18th). The offense is led by Paul George, who averages a healthy 21.7 ppg, while David West (13.9 ppg) and Lance Stephenson (13.8 ppg) round out the top 3 scorers on the team. West leads the team in rebounding (6.8 rpg), while Hibbert Leads them in blocks (2.3) and Stephenson leads the team in assists (4.5).

Pick: Going with the Thunder in this one. The Pacers are in a slump and I just can't see them breaking out vs this fully healthy thunder squad that would like to head into the post season with some momentum. The Thunder beat the Pacers by 24 back in December when the teams were much more even then they are now, so no reason to that that a healthy Thunder squad can't take out the reeling Pacers in this one.
