Ran across a wager I haven’t seen before and it has me confused. FD support didn’t help.

Here’s the deal on a Marlins/Nats 1st 5 on FD….

Marlins F5 Moneyline…..-172

Marlins F5 Result…..-120

Marlins F5 Runline….-125

I get the ML and RL wagers but FD support told me that if I took the Result wager and it was tied after 5, I’d lose. OK, no prob but isn’t that the same as a RL wager? If so, why the odds difference?

The F5 ML for the Nats is +136 and Result is +178, so I know I’m missing something here, just need someone to point out what it is, lol.

Result and Runline are typically same. -.5. Some Runlines for the heavy favorites is -1.5. That's just a kooky discrepancy they have occasionally. More often than not they are the same. Now 1 you can use for SGP the other you can't. Yeah I always check both to get the best number, just like the different ways one can get to nrfi. under.5, 0-0 score etc. Ml is juiced because tie pushes

Your Nats example you're paying 42cents insurance for a tie and push. The Result requires them to be ahead or you lose

Finally, for Result both the favorite and the dog are -.5. For Runline, if it's.5 (not1.5) the dog gets +.5

Ok now finally, Result and Runline are slightly different markets. I find the discrepancy usually happens because bettors are on the dog to win the f5 outright. Hence -120 is less plus for dog -.5 than Rl -125 and dog getting+.5. So more bettors on dog to win outright than bettors on dog +.5
