starting a new thread for the 1st MAJOR of the year, which of course is the MASTERS.
not sure what i can throw out there that someone hasnt thrown out there yet, but seeing that the weather could be nice and somewhat dry, nothing crazy dry, but dry enough to maybe see the distances be a little shorter for clubs going into the greens, which should make for lower scoring. have 4 on my card to start, have a few mu's i like and played, wavering on doing anything more with them, not as crazy as i used to be with tour mu, but i did find luiten(-125) / de jonge early which i had to play (posted @madmoneygolf). de jonge can easily hang, but hes 1 really bad round from throwing him out, luiten is a very methodical player and i would be hard pressed to see him make many dbl bogeys this wk.
see winning score around -11, though i lean to it being tougher, 5d prop has -12 o/u, just gonna pass, but think thats what you should be looking at. also with things being dry and AUSSIEs having their way with the PGA tour as of late, could be that late SUN setup that AUSSIEs arent too uncomfortable with @ the MASTERS, firm and fast, though SCOTT did win in rain storm last yr, so that theory could be thrown out the window.
have 3, not thrilled with really anyone to start this week. just not quite sold on the winning score and also alot of players health are a concern. so going to look to keep it short, while this i a big week for golf, not going to get too crazy like i did last year to start.
as far as reasons for my plays to win, i have no idea. have bet PHIL the last 3years, and have come up with squat, deserving for me as im no big fan of PHILs, but he just sets up well with this course OF COURSE and curious to see how that PHRANKENCLUB comes up for the 2nd time. BUBBA im not sure whats up with him and his health, but he was on point and playing some very good golf from WASTE-NTO-MATCH PLAY-CADILLAC. DONALD i think could benefit from the dry conditions and also played with TIGER last yr in 1st 2rds which didnt do him any favors, also have images of 2011 him taking advantage of par5s by laying up and having a hot putter. EVERY is my dark horse, and think best value coming in out of the rookies @ 10/1. is 9/1 to top10. so gonna try and see if others like SPIETH/DELAET/WALKER can fall short.
good luck all this week. i think a majority of people who bet golf and were watching last yrs MASTERS, including myself, were thinking there is no way im not betting TIGER for 14. well, life has a funny way of working out. see who can take advantage this week without the TIGER.
