I have been wagering on the NFL since before many, and I do mean many of the clients were born. It has been a passion of mine literally since I was in Jr High school. I used to take bets in the locker room and the school cafeteria. And believe me, that simply was not done back in that era. I bet football, booked football and watched as an ultra avid fan since I was a youngster. I used to hide The Sporting News in my desk and read it when I was supposed to be on other assignments. Point being I have always had a true and sincere passion for football. Playing it, betting it or watching it. I got on the Green Bay Packers season ticket waiting list in the 1970's. I waited over 30 years for those four tickets. I have given away tickets to Lambeau field free of charge right here on this sites forum to posters. YES, safe to say I love pretty much everything about the game. With the exception of poor officiating. Which of course, has changed over the years pretty dramatically.
But, the real point to this thread Tom has created is all in the title. Pros Plans to Win. Like any other person, pro or just a public Joe trying to beat the books I have had great seasons. I have also had losing seasons. And some hovering around the middle. Anyone who tells you, or tries to tell you they only have winning seasons is likely stretching the truth. I've never met that individual. The foundation of my plan is homework and staying up to date on teams status with injuries, etc. Soft spots on the scheduling. Some weeks create opportunities due simply the where a team is catching another team on the schedule. I have over the years developed some legitimate contacts. Both in college and the league. That is not something easily done. I do lean on them from time to time for information not intended for public consumption. What it all boils down to in the end is what usually helps in any endeavor. Rolling up the sleeves and doing actual work. Hours upon hours of reading and research and yes, at times working the phone with the contacts I mentioned. During the long, (not long enough) football season it is common for my wife to wake up in the middle of the night, 2 or 3am and find me in my office handicapping upcoming football games. So that is my plan, once again.
As customers know I am always accessible. They know when they reach out to me with a question they always get an honest, respectful response. And there is generally a very quick turnaround. Obviously there are tons of options out there. And with legalized sports wagering becoming more and more commonplace the options as one might expect grow. All I can promise, is no service will out work me.
Football is the undisputed king. And I, like most of you I am sure, am always excited to see another season looming. I love football and everything about it. Except lousy officiating. I wish each of you the best of luck this season. Use self discipline and money management if you can. It is critical if you are serious about making some dough when the dust settles. Take care and best of luck. Steve
