I honestly cannot see how everyone likes SF. I am waiting for the line to keep dropping and hopefully it gets to -3 for Seattle. Sometimes I really wonder if the pros are pushing a side to get a better number on Seattle.
I keep hearing how SF won the game vs Seattle in the boxscore. I watched that game and it was not close. I totally throw out garbage time stats when it comes to yards gained. Even in garbage time I keep hearing how SF moved the ball up and down the field but nobody mentioned that they turned it over in a pick 6 and on downs. This SF team is full of guys on IR and they turn the ball over on offense and will only get fumbles if they are lucky on Defense. Last week vs Denver, once VJ and Woods figured out lets take the TE out of the game SF couldn't do anything. Denver should have kicked the FG's in the second half and they win that game. Looking at the boxscore the couple busted plays really inflated the stats for SF even though they probably had less than 100 yards in the 2nd half.
Now the Seattle game 2 weeks ago I keep hearing SF won the yardage and the boxscore. They should have won and covered. Watching the game that couldn't be farther from the truth. That philosophy reminds me of the last few years of Mike Shanahan in Denver where they were one of the better teams in the league in yards gained but one of the bottom feeders in points scored and turnovers.
Seattle completely dominated SF in all phases of the game. We do know that Seattle shouldn't turn the ball over and SF won't force turnovers. We do know that Seattle is pretty good at ball hawking poor throws and SF is good at turning it over. Seattle has always had great special teams under Pete.
Seattle is in the playoffs and motivated to going into the playoffs playing well. SF is one of the worst teams in the league roster wise. I hear the argument that they are in a letdown spot because they are 99 percent chance to make it. I am not buying that thought of coasting this week. Seattle always wants to pound SF and with KC coming to town next week you don't want to risk losing 2 in a row. Losing to KC next week is no big deal if you win this week but if you lose this week and next week you get yourself in a predicament of must win week 17 against AZ who has played you tough historically.
Late in the season is all about talent vs talent on the roster. It's hard to pull tricks and out scheme the last 3rd of the year. I AM WITH THE VIG MATTY HOLT on this.
Wait to see if the line drops to -3 but take Seattle in a beat down of SF again. A side note it is very easy for fans to get to the bay area from Seattle too.
