WASHINGTON REDSKINS -7 1/2 ** DOUBLE BET
***********************************************************
As I look at the Giants and last week's win over the Chiefs, it is simply a reminder that if a team in the NFL takes any opponent for granted, like the Chiefs did, any team that makes that mistake can get beat straight up (never mind the spread). So realistically, the worst thing that happened to the Giants last week, was that they won straight up. And of course Redskin Head Coach J. Gruden won't dare let the Redskins fall into that trap. Thats what good coaches do. They take anything they can, outside of preparing their team to play their next game, and use something as "earth shattering" as the Giants' win over the Chiefs, to remind his Redskins, it can happen to them. But we know that is highly unlikely, as the Redskins have their own nightmare (a brutal loss to the Saints) to forget about. That won't be easy for the Redskins to forget, but the positive thing about that loss to the Saints is, that these are professionals, and its hard to fool the best team twice in a row, particularly when the Redskins opponent is the lowly Giants.
The facts: Redskin QB Kirk Cousins, has increased his free agent value this year so far, by completing 230 passes out of 345 attempts, for 2,796 yards and 17 touchdowns. While their best RB is out, they have done a good job of replacing him with running backs superior than those of the Giants. Eli Manning, with all his past success, is simply having a bad year, as is his team. (Not to mention the Giants' Head Coach, who must accept the responsibility to some extent. Its no secret that The Mara Family, who own the Giants are very kind and classy people, who do not like to fire coaches, particularly before the season ends. Most other teams would have let this Head Coach go by now. So I am not giving him a ounce of credit for the win over the Chiefs.
All I have to share with you about the Giants is, they are 2-9 SU their last 11 games and they are 1-3 ATS their last 4 games. Thats all I need to know to make the Redskins my Best Bet in the NFL on Thanksgiving Day.
