I know a lot of pros have taken a beating on GOY plays this weekend, and at the risk of being part of the carnage, I will share my personal GOY play. I will tell you I am a huge Broncos fan. I attend a few games a year and watch every single minute of game play...often multiple times...I know, I have a problem. BUT...what it means is I know this team better than any. However, I don't bet every Broncos game...I pick and choose my spots and Sunday night I go hard on Denver. I have personally bought the hook down to -3 in case something wacky happens and it comes down to a fg, but I suspect this game is not that close.
Analysis: Denver relies heavily on their defense...no surprise. But, the past few weeks they have been shorthanded due to injuries. Not an excuse, just a fact. Well, with the added week of rest coming off the bye, they will be at full strength, including getting Wolfe and especially Talib back on D.
Speaking of injuries, KC comes in with three starters listed as "out", including sack leader Dee Ford. In addition, KCs biggest offensive threat, Macklin, will also be out. There will just not be many yards to be had in the air vs the No Fly Zone.
What about the bye week. Well, think back just a year ago. Green Bay came into Mile High undefeated after Denver's bye week. That game was complete blow out city!
How about Denver's offense? Well, another less known injury was that of Andy Janovich, their FB. When he plays, the run game clicks. When the run game clicks, Kubiak can run his entire playbook. Well, Andy has been injured for the past few weeks and the run game clearly suffered. He will be back and I suspect you will see the difference for yourself!
Lastly, the Bronco's attitude. As I mentioned above, I am a crazy fan. I follow the team and players on Twitter. They are all in agreement...this weekend is the start of the playoffs for them. They know if they want to make any noise come January or February, they need to run the table from here on out.
Now, as we have all seen this weekend, this is not a suggestion to try and win back every penny lost before Sunday night. However, if you are looking to add another play, one I consider my strongest, to your betting ledger this Sunday, I hope this one comes through for you. Best of luck to all on all your plays!
