Go to the inner cities. Talk to the Crips. Tell them they can be someone. Go to Predominately AA schools. Tell them to get their education. How does this promote Change? Kaepernick is the most hated guy in the NFL. Is that what he hoped for? Oh back roads unity is doing what your team does. If they practice two a days, then you do two a days. If they run sprints then you run sprints. If they stand then you stand for the anthem. It's not doing something that makes you Stand Out. Makes you look like an individual. He is like 3 years out of college making Millions.
I went to a predominately black high school (80%) and most are productive members of society. I also work in the medical/education field, where I deal with a lot of black doctors, lawyers, educators, therapist, nurses, and other personnel. I went to school with Keith Jackson (GB) and James Rouse (Chi). Used to play basketball with all the brothers and never once had a problem.
OTOH, I have also done charitable social work in the projects and low income areas. In those cases, a lot of the mothers were saddled with multiple kids (often from different dads), and each child represented a "check."
Personal Story: A single black mother with 11 children were living in a dilapidated trailer. A case worker asked me if I could help, and we moved 12 mattresses from hospital excess into their new free living accomadations. One of the younger children (Keisha) had a tumor on her larynx and could not speak. The case worker got her disability on the child, which includes free medical. The tumor was removed and child was normal post operative surgery. Disability paid for the incident back to birth, a check of about 15K. The mother was so excited, she called to "show" us something. We arrived, and she presented with a late model Cadillac and called it "Keisha's" car.
So, I can't really lump all black people into the same category, or any race of people for that matter. I have know several black guys that step out on their wives all the time, it is almost culturally acceptable and extremely commonplace. In my work environment, I can't count how many black women are single with several kids; and on welfare. For some reason, white men seem to stick around more.
So once again, I reiterate the measure of family dynamics playing a huge role, in my personal experience. That isn't on the government, and the checks for welfare are really not that helpful. It stifles any motivation anybody ever had, and I got plenty of honky examples to back that theory as well.
Where was I going with all this............... in any event, I probably deal with more black people on any given day than any of you honkies, doesn't mean I'm right though. vrooom, vrooooom, "there go Keisha's car"
