Ok looking to have a better football season had baseball for sure. I hope to kick it off with a win tonight. I will be doing something something different in football this year. 4 Unit will be my highest play. Top plays will only be 3 and 4 unit plays with a dollar range of 30 to 50 dollars for each play. Oh and I will be bringing back the "Power Angel Plays" this year, which will only be top plays. My lesser plays will be called just that, unless I come up with a more creative name. LOL. No more rating them 2 and 1 unit. Lesser plays will range from 29 dollars down to 5 dollars. Yes I am still a nickle and dime bettor for football. I also have other stuff planned for football so stay tuned. BOL to all this season.
LESSER PLAYS
(Risking $18.00 To Win $16.36) Buffalo -3 over NY Giants: The Buffalo Bills are off another disappointing season, as they went just 6-10 last year and now haven’t made it to the playoffs since 1999. Last year the Bills were ranked 22nd in the league in scoring, at 21.2 ppg, while also ranking 19th in total yards (338 ypg), 26th in passing (193.9 ypg) and 2nd in rushing (144.2 ypg). CJ Spiller was a big part of that ground attack and he is back along with a healthy EJ Manuel, while the WR corps was upgraded with the signing of deep threat Mike Williams, to go along with the drafting of Sammy Watkins. Defensively, the Bills were pretty decent last year, ranking 20th in points allowed (24.2 ppg) and 10th in yards allowed (333.4 ypg). The Defense is anchored by Mario Williams, who had 13 sacks last year, including a club record 4.5 sacks vs Carolina in week 2. Kiko Alonso also had a big year for the Bills as he grabbed 159 tackles and had 4 INT’s in his rookie year. The Bill are hoping that 3 rd round pick Preston Brown (Louisville) will fill a need at LB, while CB Ross Cockrell (Duke) will give them added depth to a very good secondary.
The New York Giants started last year 0-9, but did finish 7-3 in their last 10 games to give them some momentum and hope for this year. Last year the Giant offense was ranked 28th in scoring, at 18.4 ppg, while also ranking 28th in total yards (307.5 ypg), 19th in passing (224.3 ypg) and 29th in rushing (83.3 ypg). Manning had an off year throwing 27 interceptions, but it wasn’t all his fault, as the OL was a complete mess and the running game was one of the worst in the league. The Giants used their 1 st pick in the draft to grab WR Odell Beckham and that is good because Manning also needs weapons to throw to, and they took Center Weston Richburg with their second pick, which is also good, cause the OL also needs help. The Giants still have Victor Cruz, but did lose Hakeem Nicks, who bolted to Indianapolis. Defensively the Giants ranked 18th in points allowed (23.9 ppg) and 8th in yards allowed (323.3 ypg). 4 of the last 5 picks for the Giants were made on the defensive side of the ball, including DT Jay Bromley with the third pick and fifth pick Safety Nate Behre, who both should add solid depth to this defense. The Giants have great depth at defensive tackle, and the line as a whole will be the strength of this team, even with the loss of leading sack man, Justin Tuck. The Giants did help their linebacking crew with the signing of Jameel McClain and the secondary should solid with some good young talent.
Pick: Word out of the Bills camp is that they are really pushing to win this game. It makes sense as the Bills have a second year head coach that really wants to build a winning attitude, especially coming off such a bad year. The Bills have upgraded their offense with Watkins and deep threat Mike Williams and you can expect EJ Manuel to test those two out often. Also see the Bills having a talent edge in backup QBs Lewis and Tuel vs Painter and Nassib of the Giants. The Bills have also upgraded a defense that had it's struggles last year. The Giants really have no backup QB that could take them far should Manning go down, so I really look for him to be very limited in this one, especially with a bad OL in front of him. The Giants really needed help on offense, but didn't up grade that all that much. They are better on defense, but with the new rules that will limit the defense, i expect them to struggle some here, while the offense will just not put up enough points to keep this one within 3 points.
(Risking $15.00 To Win $13.64) NY Giants/ Buffalo Under 37: (Added) Ok its at 37 now I feel comfortable jumping on the Under.
