I am not a huge proponent of Look ahead's, look behind's, and things of that sort. Teams do have different personalities, coaches do as well, and learning their tendencies in certain situations is what I concentrate on the most. This is especially true with 1st Half, 2nd Half wagering, and even more especially true with Totals..
Starting your own database of these tendencies with each team is not a bad exercise. Or at least going over recent (2 to 3 Years) Box scores to determine how teams react to High Pace, Low Pace, Zone Teams, etc. NBA betting much of the same but I would add injuries to Key players and how teams reacted both scoring and Pace-wise without that player..Often for instance a Big Man goes down and scoring increases due to that team using more transition to compensate for lack of inside threat..
