Balance forwarded, $2368.00, -$400 lost last night, +$1968 going into tonight.
I, as I'm sure many others were surprised at the result of the Dallas game last night. Knowing your on the road next game, scoring only 1 goal, and to lose?, is a "deserving" self inflicted wound. About a month or so ago I bet Dallas to win the West and a smaller wager to win the Cup. I guess I can kiss that money goodbye, lol. The books made all the money last night with 75% of the public and 74% of the sharp money bet on the ML and 85% - 88% on the PL. As we say in Canada, THATS HOCKEY EH! ( for my buddy Jimmy )
Tonight we have 3 teams facing a possible 0-3 continuation. In my opinion, for those team(s) if it happens, it's season over. I've been watching hockey since the mid 1960's and can probalby count on one hand how many 0-3 teams have come back to win a seven game series. I'm going to be very careful in how I word my next comment, because I don't need Einstein to critique me and start a thread.
"My" most recent memory of a team pulling that puck out of the gutter was the 2014 LA Kings. That season, they didn't win the Presidents Cup and weren't even the top seed in the West. But yet in a series against the then, stacked, Stanley Cup determined San Jose Sharks, the Kings, 0-3 came back to win 4 straight and then ironically went on to beat the Rangers in 5 games to win the the big Cup. That's 10 years ago.
I have two parlays to post. I would of loved to pull the trigger on Washington winning tonight, but can't find my way to do it. They are down 3 starting "D's" and when you have to through the weight of your game on OV, a 38 year old veteran, ironically still not only playing in the league, but playing competitively, your F***ed. Cuto's to OV.
GL to those 3 teams and those betting tonight. "I can't remember" if at all, watching three teams facing a possible 0-3 in the same night in the playoffs. Cheers!
