First of all, thanks for the vote of confidence for purchasing the rest of 2014. We will work both hard and smart to make it the best investment you ever made.
I'm not a fan of Pregame's rating of 1-2-3 simply because I don't have the ability to accurately communicate the quality of the play to my customer. There is no way that the second highest rating should be TWICE as strong as the lowest rating.
Many times I have a good single play that is not quite enough for a double play, and I have double plays that are almost triple plays. With the 1-2-3 rating system, the range in the strength of my doubles is huge.
If I had my druthers, I would use at least five ratings. With five I think I would be able to clearly define the strength of a play to my customers.
Certainly, a 3-4-5 betting system is better than a 1-2-3 betting system -- you should not be betting twice as much on a double as a single. Also, in baseball, you should be risking less on underdogs than on favorites if the plays have the same rating.
Cheers!
