This also, as always everyone has to decide.just passing along the trends I saw.
Hawkeyes have been led all season by Luka Garza, a national player of the year candidate ((24.3 & 8.3). However, the 6-11 Jack Nunge (7.1 & 5.3) sustained a torn meniscus to his right knee in the first half vs. Michigan with the team announcing on Friday that his season is over. Also, starting PG Connor McCaffery (3.9-3.3-3.5) twisted an ankle and had to leave that game. It's uncertain whether he will be available Sunday. Guard Wieskamp (15.1 & 6.8) has been an excellent 'second banana' all season and Fran McCaffrey has excellent depth.
Ohio St may have suffered a significant loss as well, as the 6-8 Kyle Young (8.7 & 5.7) missed the Michigan State game with a concussion and his status for Sunday is unclear. Speaking off depth, the 6-7 Liddell (16.0 & 6.8) is surrounded up front by the 6-7 Sueing (10.3 & 5.5), the 6-6 Aherns (6.6) and the 6-8 Key (5.9 & 3.7). The starting backcourt features SG Washington (15.60 and PG Walker (9.2 & 4.3 APG).
