Back at it after a fun-filled weekend in Wrigleyville. There's no better atmosphere surrounding a ballpark than at Wrigley for a Cards/Cubs matchup during the summer. It's a shame some of the area around the stadium is being pimped out with the construction of new hotels and the very vanilla (and surprisingly empty) double decker bar/restaurant adjacent to the field. Regardless, it's always a fun time there with so, so many different bars to choose from.
Before my break I was 4-1 last Thursday, so let's keep the good times rolling....
A's +1 +108 - I'm digging this spot for the A's as Liriano is starting on short rest after getting destroyed in his last two outings. Plus, the Jays are coming off a very very long road trip having just been swept by the Indians and are losers of 5 out of 6. A's aren't exactly playing light out ball either, however, I think this is a very very fair price given the situation.
Rockies +122 - Mike Leake is clearly in regression mode and the Rockies have historically hit him quite well. Speaking of hitting quite well, the Rockies have been averaging a cool 10 RPG over their last 10 games. Outside of the Cardinals 9 run inning on Friday, they've not hit much over the last week. This team better start making some moves for the future (so long Lance Lynn). They're clearly going nowhere this year.
BALT/TB O9 -103 - I don't trust either one of these pitchers as Gausman has been awful on the road and Smell is a five inning pitcher. Couple that with the hot Orioles offense and I think this game hits at least 10 runs.
MIA/TEX U11 -108 - I'll disagree with the line movement and play the under. Neither of these teams have exactly lit it up the last 5-10 games offensively, and the wind blowing in from center can't hurt either.
BOL today everyone.
