Good morning Buds, I hope everyone is having a great start to the 2nd half of the season. Yesterday was 1-1 -.05 unit and for the week I am 3-2+.57 units on posted plays. Beard Mail started off the 2nd half where it left off with 2 straight wins and only has 13 days left till the end of it till the Super Bowl. Today I have two plays that I like a lot and I will have a add on for the Sunday night game. Lets get the two road dog wins and sweep the board heading into the Sunday night game. Thank you all for your support and time, here is my winners.
MLB Sunday:
Play: Colorado +130 winner
Both the Mets and the Rockies where trying for the postseason but both have had there ups & downs. The Rockies are still leading for the 2nd wild card spot but they have lost 15 of 20 and the first two to these Mets. The Mets needed a big run to start the 2nd half or They were going to sell everyone and still might. I know a ton of you might have wrote off the Rockies but today they beat the Mets in NY and get on track for a 2nd half run. Every team has there down times of the year and this is the Rockies. Colorado Starter Jeff Hoffman has been a tail of two different stories this year. At home he has a 6.43 era with a 1.57 whip but this is in NY and on the road Hoffman is 3-0, 1.67 era, 0.79 whip in 4 road starts. When Mets starter Steven Matz starts in July at home his teams Career record is 1-6 and 0-3 at home. Hoffman is 2-0 in day games and 2-0 as a dog this season. Mets star hitter Yoenis Cespedes left last nights game with a injury and I don't know if he will play today. The Rockies are 7-3 in their last 10 Sunday games and the Rockies are 9-4 in their last 13 during game 3 of a series. The Mets are 1-6 in Matz last 7 starts vs a team with a winning record and the Mets are 6-15 in their last 21 during game 3 of a series. Finally when umpire Jordan Baker is behind the plate the Mets are 1-5 in his last 6. Today Colorado will finally get there offense going and I see Hoffman being amazing just what the Rockies need out of a starter. Colorado wins a 6-2 / 5-3 type of game.
Play: Cleveland -110 loss
Cleveland had hopes of a run to start the 2nd half with but Oakland didn't get the memo. Oakland has taken the first two of this series and Cleveland needs to hit, score, and pitch well today to avoid the sweep. Indians starter Trevor Bauer is 2-2, 3.52 era, 1.27 whip, 27ks to 3hr in his last five starts and Oakland starter Sean Manaea is 1-2, 3.94 era, 1.50 whip, 27ks to 3hr in his last five. Bauer is 1-1 vs Oakland and in his last start vs them he allowed three runs and had 14ks over seven innings for the win. Cleveland on the road this year scores 4.68 runs a game and they only give up 4.05 runs a game. Also Cleveland has been better on the road 26-18 then at home 21-24 this season. Oakland at home scores 4.72 runs a game and they give up 5.11 runs a game. The Indians are 4-1 in Bauer's last 5 starts during game 3 of a series and the Indians are 5-0 in Bauer's last 5 starts vs the AL West. Also the Indians are 9-2 in their last 11 Sunday games and the Indians are 4-0 in their last 4 games when Lazaro Diaz is behind the plate. Finally the Athletics are 1-4 in Manaeas last 5 Sunday starts and the Athletics are 1-4 in their last 5 games with Diaz behind the plate. Those are a few trends that I like for this game. The Indians offense will finally get going and they will score a few runs for Bauer. Bauer is going to be good and I think he goes 6-7 strong innings with 10+Ks and the Indians get the 5-3/7-4 win.
