Analysis: The Philadelphia Eagles come in at 5-1 on the year and are a half a game behind the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East. The Eagles are 1-1 on the road with that loss coming at another NFC West foe, the San Francisco 49ers. The Eagles are 0-4 ATS the last 4 in this series, but the Dog is 4-0 ATS the last 4 and the Eagles are 7-1 ATS as dogs off BB SU & ATS Wins. Chip Kelly has proven that his college offense will work in the NFL as they once a gain are a very strong group. The Eagles come in ranked 9th in total offense, 7th in passing, 14th in rushing and 3rd in scoring (30.5 ppg). The defensive side of the ball has not been as kind, as they come in ranked 24th in yards allowed, 23rd vs the pass, 23rd vs the run and 13th in points allowed (22 ppg).
The Arizona Cardinals have surprised many this year by their 5-1 start, which currently has them in first place in the NFC West. There have a game and a half lead over the Niners and a full two game lead over the Seahawks. The Cardinals are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 vs. NFC and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games following a S.U. win, but they are also 5-11-1 ATS in their last 17 games in October. The Cardinals are not a strong offensive squad, as they come in ranked 28th in total offense, 21st in passing, 26th in rushing and 14th in scoring (23.3 ppg). On defense they are very solid, ranking 18th in yards allowed, 15th vs the pass, 1st vs the run and 5th in points allowed (19.8 ppg).
Pick: The money is coming in on the Eagles here and I will follow it. Philadelphia is one of the best teams in the league right now and are playing with a ton of confidence, especially after blanking the Giants 27-0 in their last game. The Cardinals are also playing with confidence right now as they lead the NFC West with a 5-1 record and they do have a solid defense, but in their only game vs a high powered offense (Denver) they did allow 41 points. I do not think the Cardinals will come up with enough points to win this one. I look for the Eagles to steal one out west.
