Round 2 of the NBA Playoffs continues on Friday night and we will see Oklahoma City Thunder travel to the Staples Center to take on the Los Angeles Clippers in game 3 of their best-of seven series. The game has a start time of 10:30 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on ESPN. Vegas odds have the Clippers listed as 4 point favorites, while the total sits at 214.5.

Stat Packs: The Oklahoma City Thunder got revenge for their playoff ousting by the Grizzlies last year, but then were blasted in game 1 of this series by the Clippers.  The Thunder bounced back with a 10 point win in game 2 to tie the series at 1 game apiece. The Thunder have gone 27-17 on the road this year.  Oklahoma City averaged 105.8 ppg on 46.8% shooting for the year overall, and in the playoffs they have averaged 103.6 ppg on 44.6% shooting. In the playoffs, Kevin Durant leads the team in scoring with an average of 29.6 ppg, while Russell Westbrook is second, at 26.6 ppg. Serge Ibaka (13.0 ppg) and Reggie Jackson (10.3 ppg) round out the double digit scorers on the team. Durant leads the team rebounding (9.2), while Westbrook leads them in assists (7.8) and serge Ibaka has collected 2.3 blocks per game. Defensively the Thunder allowed just 99.8 ppg on 43.6% shooting for the year and they have been right on that in the playoffs, allowing 100.0 ppg on 43.4% shooting.    

The LA Clippers took game 1 of this series, but just could not sustain the momentum in game 2 as they lost by 10 points to have the series knotted at 1 game apiece. The Clippers have still won 25 of their last 33 games and they have gone 37-8 at home for the year so far. Offensively they came into the playoffs as the top scoring team in the league and they are the top scoring remaining team in the post season, averaging 111 ppg, while shooting 47.6% from the field. In the playoffs, Blake Griffin leads the offense with 22.3 ppg, while Chris Paul (19.0 ppg), Jamal Crawford (15.7 ppg), JJ Reddick (14.4 ppg) and DeAndre Jordan (11.0 ppg) also average in double figures for the Clippers. Jordan leads the team in rebounding (13.2 rpg), while Chris Paul has led them in assists at 9.3 apg. Defensively the Clippers have allowed 101.4 ppg on 44.3% shooting for the year overall but so far in the playoffs they have allowed 106.9 pg on 46.6% shooting.  

Pick:  I will look to the Over in this one. Clipper home games have averaged 211.6 ppg on the year, while the 6 meetings between the teams this year have averaged 216.7 ppg. The Clippers have averaged 111 ppg in the playoffs so far and they have scored 111.6 ppg on their home floor this year. They have also scored 111./5 ppg in the first two games of this series. Seems like a pattern there. LOL. The Thunder are starting to show cracks in their defense as they have now allowed 110.7 ppg in their last 3 games, while on offenses we know that they can score plenty. This should be an up and down game with at least 220 points being scored.
