Happy holidays and best of luck to all involved in drafting their fantasy football team today. I had my Las Vegas Rotisserie format league last night and drew the sixth pick. I felt extremely fortunate to land Jamaal Charles and then get Jimmy Graham coming back with the No. 15 pick.
But the subject here is Wes Welker. He's 33 and in the discussion for greatest slot receiver of all time. He's among the lucky few to have snared passes from both Tom Brady and Peyton Manning.
But after suffering his third concussion in 10 months during a stupid preseason game, it's time Welker retired. If the league really cares about head injuries and the health of its players maybe it should make it mandatory that if you suffer more than two concussions in a year you're done for your own good.
On the handicapping front, I went 2-0 on my paid Sunday plays winning with my MLB Underdog Game of the Week with the Reds and easily cashing with Tennessee over Utah State. I have my first college football Triple Star sides play of the season going today in the Miami-Louisville matchup. Also I have started to put out some of my early NFL plays. As always, no bad luck!
