It would have been very nice to have jumped on the Spurs at 10:1 when I mentioned it during my interview with John Ireland (radio voice of the Lakers) on First Preview radio last Thursday. We felt Aldridge would eventually land in San Antonio and that was without knowing David West's interest. The Spurs are not the favorite to win the 2016 NBA title (Cavaliers). But with the new lineup that includes Duncan, Ginobili, Parker, Leonard, Green, and Mills, the Spurs should be the chalk. Even at 4:1 I believe we're catching value with San Antone. Their only real caveats include the fact that Duncan & Parker are not getting any younger and injuries are a concern - plus, the Spurs need a little more depth, especially on the defensive interior with Tiago Splitter now playing for the Atlanta Hawks. But again, 4:1 is still a decent play.
