World Series Odds 2014

While its seems a bit ridiculous to be talking baseball the week before the Super Bowl, the Boys of Summer will be in action sooner rather than later. Pitchers and catchers for some clubs will report to Spring Training as early as February 6th and position players will arrive shortly thereafter. So going over the latest World Series Odds 2014 release from 5Dimes may not be as preposterous as it seems. Anyway, heading up the offshore bookmaker's list are the Los Angeles Dodgers at +700 money line odds ($100 wins $700). The Detroit Tigers are a second pick to win the 2014 World Series at +900 odds while the Boston Red Sox and St. Louis Cardinals, last year's World Series participants, are drawing +1100 odds.

Completing the list of the top 10 most favored clubs to win the 2014 Fall Classic are the Washington Nationals, New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves, Texas Rangers, Cincinnati Reds, and Los Angeles Angels. The Nationals and Yankees are getting +1200 and +1300 odds, respectively, while the Braves and Rangers are each lined at +1800. The Reds and Angels, along with the Athletics and Rays, are coming off at +2000 odds.

The clubs at the top of the list may feel a bit wary as the last three World Series winners were hardly championship favorites. The 2011 Cardinals opened the season at +1600 World Series Odds as did the 2012 San Francisco Giants. And last year's champion, the Boston Red Sox, were a +3000 World Series pick before the season got underway.
