World Series Odds
Chicago -144, Cleveland +133
Total: 7 runs
Chicago gets a chance to force a Game 7 here with its best pitcher on the mound in Jake Arrieta, the former Cy Young winner. He’s going to give them the best chance to win this game, just like he did back in Game 2 of the series.
Arrieta mowed down Indian hitters in that game, finishing with six strikeouts and jus two hits. The Cubs got an early lead in that game and were able to ride out the bullpen for the final few innings.
Opposing him will be Josh Tomlin, he started Game 3 and pitched 4 2/3 innings but did not factor into the decision. Tomlin kept the Cubs off-balanced in allowing just a pair of hits in that one, he registered only one strikeout however so it’s not like he was dominating hitters.
The Cubs will get Kyle Schwarber back in the lineup in the designated hitter spot, he gives Chicago an added boost in the lineup.
Cleveland dropped a close contest in Game 5, they trailed 3-2 and had a chance to tie the game but Aroldis Chapman game in and just continued to throw fireballs into the back of the catcher’s mitt. If Cleveland can get an early lead in this contest it will definitely give them a better chance to win. The Indians bullpen is very strong and the added pressure on Chicago if the Cubs are behind will continue to mount.
