World Cup Odds Brazil vs Cameroon

2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil Video Game Review Roundup, Top Features and More

A less than important match in the 2014 World Cup takes place today between Brazil and Cameroon in Group A. It appears the oddsmakers are expecting a runaway match by the host country in this one. Currently the World Cup odds for the match have Brazil as a heavy favorite to pick up the victory.

Brazil vs Cameroon World Cup Odds

Brazil           -2½ +115 -800

Cameroon has been eliminated in Group A. They're the only country to be knocked out of that group so far, having lost both of their matches already to Mexico and Croatia. Both of those matches were close in the first half, but Cameroon gave up four of the five goals scored against them in the second half. Cameroon still hasn't been able to score a goal in this World Cup.

Both Brazil and Mexico have four points while Croatia has three. That match between Croatia and Mexico, which will be played concurrently with this one, has an obvious lot on the line. The winner of that match will advance to the Round of 16. Mexico just needs to at least draw in that matchup.

There really is nothing for Cameroon to play for, other than pride. Brazil will probably want to play a pretty solid contest here as they have looked lackluster at times during this World Cup so far. They drew with Mexico and haven't really played their wide-open style yet in the tournament. Brazil could look to put all the pieces together in this match today and win by a comfortable margin.

Neymar scored twice in the team's win over Croatia and is a legitimate world-class attacker. If Cameroon heads into this match not really caring about the outcome and if they don't play defense well, Neymar could find himself scoring another couple of tallies in this contest.

And we don't expect Cameroon to come out and try to win the game. They know they are out-matched and with nothing to play for, we expect them to role over in this matchup. Brazil will look to polish off this group and with three points earn their spot in the Round of 16.
