Vancouver Canucks at Calgary Flames NHL Playoffs Game 6 Start Time, Betting Odds

The NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs begin tonight when the Vancouver Canucks take on the Calgary Flames in Game 6 of their Western Conference first round matchup. The game is scheduled for an 9:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on the NBC Sports Network. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Flames favored to get the win in this matchup and close out the series.

Calgary owns a 3-2 series lead over the Vancouver Canucks, tonight they are being tabbed by oddsmakers as a team that will advantage to the second round. They aren't a big time favorite, though, which means the Canucks probably have a decent shot at winning this one. Vancouver was in must-win mode recently, too, but they found a way to earn a 2-1 victory over the Flames and hold off elimination.

Can they find a way to do it again? On the road this season the Canucks were the third-best team in the Western Conference at 24-14-3. They have, though, dropped both games in Calgary.

A seventh game would be played back in Vancouver, though, if the Canucks can win tonight. That puts a lot of pressure on Calgary to get the job done on their own ice in this one, and a lot of pressure on goalie Jonas Hiller to be solid. He had 41 saves the last time out for Calgary, but Vancouver goalie Ryan Miller was able to get the job done for his team and it allowed them to play another game. That will happen again tonight, with Vancouver getting it done on both ends of the ice.

The Canucks have playoff experience, even without a title to their resume. That experience will be critical for them tonight as they win on the road and force a Game 7.
