Thursday Night NBA Denver Nuggets vs Memphis Grizzlies Odds, Free Pick

NBA Thursday night and we will see the Denver Nuggets travel to the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee to take on the Memphis Grizzlies. The game has a start time of 8:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on TNT. Current Vegas betting odds have Memphis listed as 10 point favorites, while the total is set at 199.

Analysis:  The Nuggets have gone 6-1 ATS in their last 7 Thursday games and 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 road games, but 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games playing on 0 days rest. Denver has been a decent offensive squad, ranking 10th in scoring (101.8 ppg), 24th in shooting, 26th in 3 point shooting and 25th in FT shooting. Defensively the Nuggets have been poor as they come in ranked 27th in points allowed (104.5 ppg), 17th in defensive FG% and 14th in 3 point defense.

The Memphis Grizzlies come into this game have won 4 in a row and 8 of their last 9. The Grizzlies are leading the Southwest Division by 2 games over Houston, with a 33-12 record overall, including a 19-5 mark at home. Memphis has gone 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record, but just 7-18-1 ATS in their last 26 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400 and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 Thursday games. The Grizzlies have been an average offensive team this year, ranking 14th in scoring (101.5 ppg), 7th in shooting, 16th in 3 point shooting and 5th in FT shooting. Defensively the Grizzlies have been very good, ranking 6th in points allowed (97.3 ppg), 12th in defensive FG% and 24th in 3 point defense.

Pick: Going with the Under in this game. Denver scores a ton of points at home, but on the road it is a different story as they have averaged just 98.4 ppg away from home, including just 89.8 ppg in their last 4 away from home. Memphis comes in playing solid defense of late as they have allowed just 88.3 ppg in their last 4 games and have allowed just 97 ppg at home for the year. It is very hard to see Denver putting up enough points in this one to push the game over the total. Lower 190s in this game.
