Super Bowl 48 is almost here and while winning the title is the ultimate prize, the winning team, also gets one of their players named as the MVP for the game and that also is a nice prize. Currently Peyton Manning and Russell Wilson are the favorites to win the MVP, but Marshawn Lynch will be in the discussion as well. Vegas Odds have him 3rd on the list at +500 to take the Super Bowl MVP crown.
The running back position has taken home the second-most Super Bowl MVP awards (7) and Lynch figures to be a serious contender in the run-first offense utilized by Seattle. The Seahwaks were ranked 4th in the league in rushing, putting up 138.4 ypg on the ground and a huge part of that ground attack was Marshawn, who ran for 1247 yards at 4.2 yards per pop. It won't be easy vs a tough Bronco run defense that allowed just 97 ypg on the ground at 3.9 ypc. Still many teams were forced to throw on the Broncos, so is their run defense really that good. We will see and if any one can run on this defense it just may be Lynch and at +500 he is worth throwing a few bucks on.
