Sunday NFL Denver Broncos vs Seattle Seahawks Free Pick

NFL Week 3 and we will see the Denver Broncos travel to CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Washington to take on the Seattle Seahawks. The game has a start time of 4:25 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on CBS. Current Vegas odds have the Seahawks listed as 4.5 point favorites, while the total is set at 48.5.

Analysis:  The Denver Broncos has a big season as they went 13-3 and wound up in the Super Bowl. Then reality set in after they were demolished by the Seahawks. The Broncos lost some pieces from that team, but are still expected to have a big year. Denver has started the year with a couple of 7 point wins, but this is the game that they have been point to all off season Last year the Bronco offense was amazing, leading the league in scoring, at 37.9 ppg, while also ranking 1st in total yards (457.3 ypg), 1st in passing (340.3 ypg) and 15th in rushing (117.1 ypg). This was the best offense the NFL had ever seen and while they will be good again, it will be hard for them to top last year’s numbers. So far they are just 14th in total offense (343 ypg) and 5th in scoring (27.5 ppg). The Broncos will be getting Wes Welker back for this game as his suspension has been cut short.

Seattle began the defense of their title with a thorough beatdown of Green Bay, by a score of 36-16, but last week they came back down to earth with a 30-21 loss at San Diego. The Seahawks are up against a trend this year as no team that won the Superbowl has won a playoff game the next year, with the trend going back to 2007. I will call it here. This team will break that trend, but they better be careful here as the Broncos are playing with Super Bowl revenge in this one. The Seahawks are loaded once again and are led by Russell Wilson, who may now be asked to do more in this offense. He has a solid set of WRs to work with and a powerful ground attack that is led by Marshawn Lynch. On the other side of the ball they look very stout especially in the secondary, where they just might have the best set of DBs in the league. The LB corps is also rated as one of the best in the league, while the defensive line is a top 10 unit. Very few question marks on this team this year and they are very tough to bet at home.

Pick: I will look to the Over in this game. First I guarantee that the Broncos will not be held to 8 poi ts or less, especially with them getting back Wes Welker for this one. The Broncos want revenge for last year's SB debacle and the best way they can get that is through their offense. The Seahawks are not just all defense, as they know how to score as well. The have scored 57 points in their first two games and that fits right in whit the fact that they vowed to open up the offense a bit more this year. It has been very hard to stop this team so far and I don't see the Broncos being able to do that here. Denver showed vs the Colts that they can be scored on and the certainly will be here as well.  This game should end up in the 50s rather easily.
