After taking a major step forward in 2010, the St. Louis Rams made a return to the NFL’s abyss last season with a 2-14 record. The St. Louis Rams 2013 Super Bowl XLVII Odds would indicate, despite a coaching change, that the team will still be fighting to regain respectability this year. The Rams are presently listed at +8000 moneyline odds (risk $100 to win $8000) to win the Super Bowl. Jeff Fisher’s crew is also considered a long shot to win the NFC Championship and NFC West, currently going off at +5000 and +900 odds, respectively.
Despite winning just seven games in 2010, the Rams had plenty of reason for optimism heading into last season. After all, St. Louis had not was seven games in the three previous seasons combined and it appeared to have a franchise quarterback in former Heisman winner Sam Bradford. But the wheels came off again for the club last year as it fought just to garner two wins.
While not much is expected of the Rams in the way of championships or division titles, offshore odds maker BetOnline.com is anticipating some progress from the team this season. Vegas has a bit of a different take, though. Nevada based Cantor Gaming, which released point spreads for the entire 2012 NFL regular season schedule save week 17, has the Rams favored in just two (Week #5 Arizona Cardinals, Week #15 Minnesota Vikings) of 15 games.
