The Washington Huskies will look to continue their late season surge this afternoon when they face the Colorado Buffaloes at Folsom Field in Boulder (1:30pm ET start time, FX). Saturday College Football Washington at Colorado Odds are expecting the Huskies to extend their current win streak to four games as they are presently lined as a -20.5 against the spread road favorite. The total in today’s Pac-12 clash between Washington and Colorado is set at 54.5 points.

Can a 56-31 loss be considered a moral victory? If you are the 2012 Colorado Buffaloes the answer may be yes. The double digit setback marked the team’s second against the spread cover of the season (line was set at 28.5 points) and the 31 point outburst was its second highest point total of the season.

One may think the defensive effort would be enough to spoil an otherwise decent outing for Colorado, but giving up 56 points and over 570 yards of offense is the norm for this squad. For that reason, Washington, which has not exactly been an offensive powerhouse this season, stands a wonderful chance at earning its second 20 plus point win of the year.

The Huskies lack the offensive weapons that many of their conference foes possess, but what they do have should look outstanding against Colorado’s 122nd ranked defense.

Conversely, Washington’s defense should have no trouble at all shutting down the Buffaloes toothless offense. Colorado did not look bad against Arizona’s porous unit (the Wildcats are 119th in total defense and 105th in scoring defense), but it will quickly revert to form opposite the Huskies much more formidable defense.

Free Pick: Take Washington -20.5. The number is large, especially for a team that typically lacks scoring punch, and the hook is not appealing sitting just under 21; however, there is only one way to go when Colorado is on the board. The Buffaloes are the anti-Kansas State, but both teams have been money all season long in terms of the spread. Ride the one and fade the other and there is no reason to stop now.

Washington at Colorado College Football Odds:

Washington Huskies -20.5 (-110), Over 54.5 (-110)

Colorado Buffaloes +20.5 (-110), Under 54.5 (-110)
