NFL Week 17 and the Philadelphia Eagles will travel to MetLife Stadium to take on the New York Giants. The game has a start time of 1:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on FOX. Current Vegas odds have New York listed as 2 point favorites, while the total is set at 52.5.  

Analysis:  The Philadelphia Eagles were sitting pretty atop the NFC East division, but they have sine lost 3 games in a row and will now be sitting at home during the playoffs.  Philadelphia is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games after accumulating more than 250 yards passing in their previous game and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 meetings in New York, but just  2-8 ATS in their last 10 games in Week 17.  The Eagles have been a very good offensive team this year, ranking 5th in total yards, 6th in passing, 9th in rushing and 3rd in scoring (29.3 ppg). The defense for the Eagles has not been that good, ranking 25th in yards allowed, 25th vs the pass, 17th vs the run and 23rd in points allowed (24.9 ppg).

The New York Giants have not had a good year going just 6-9 so far, but they do come in on a three game win streak after winning by 10 at St Louis last week. New York is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games in December and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games in Week 17, but just 3-9 ATS the last 12 in this series. New York comes in ranked 12th in total offense, 10th in passing offense, 22nd in rushing and 13th in scoring (23.6 ppg). The Giant defense has not been so good as they rank 28th in total defense, 17th vs the pass, 30th vs the run and 21st in scoring defense (24.4 ppg).

Pick: I will go with the Over in this game. Both teams have nothing to play for so why not just air it out and have fun in this one. The Eagles do that anyway and come in averaging 29.3 ppg on the year, while their defense has allowed 24.9 ppg. For the Giants, their offense has taken off of late, averaging 29.8 ppg in their last 5 games, while their defense has allowed 24.4 ppg on the year. The Giants were shut out by the Eagles in the first meeting, but I do not expect that in this one. Both teams will score plenty in this one.
