College Basketball Betting Odds Stanford Cardinal vs Arizona Wildcats Free Pick

Saturday college basketball and we will see the Stanford Cardinal travel to the McKale Center to take on the Arizona Wildcats. The game has a start time of 4:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on CBS. Current Vegas betting odds have the Wildcats listed as 13.5 point favorites, while the total is set at 141.

Analysis: The Stanford Cardinal have not been playing all that well of late as they have lost their last 2 games and 6 of their last 9. Still the Cardinal is 18-11 on the year overall and 9-8 in the Pac-12, but they have struggled on the road, where they are just 4-7 so far. Stanford has gone 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600, but just 2-7 ATS in their last 9 vs. the Pac-12. The Cardinal have been a very good offensive team this year, as they come in ranked 42nd in scoring (73.6 ppg), 155th in shooting (43.9%), 20th in 3 point shooting (39.6%) and 73rd in FT shooting (71.9%). Defensively the Cardinal has been very average, ranking 157th in points allowed (66.0 ppg), 116th in defensive FG% (41.7%) and 254th in 3 point defense (35.6%).

The Arizona Wildcats followed up their big win over Utah with a 39 point home win over California on Thursday night. The Cats have now won 7 in a row to push their record to 27-3 overall, while also allowing them to clinch the Pac-12 regular season title. Arizona has gone 10-2 ATS in their last 12 games following a S.U. win and 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. The Wildcats have been a very good offensive team this year, ranking 28th in scoring (75.4 ppg), 10th in shooting (48.6%), 137th in 3 point shooting (35.1%) and 147th in FT shooting (69.7%). Defensively the Wildcats have been very good this year, ranking 17th in points allowed (58.5 ppg), 32nd in defensive FG% (39.3%) and 88th in 3 point defense (32.4%).

Pick: I will be looking at the Under here. The Cats put up 99 points in their last game, but that is not the norm for this team and I just can see them going crazy on the offensive end in this one as they will be taking on a Stanford team that has allowed just 62.6 ppg in their last 5 games. The Cardinal can play some defense and so can the Cats as they have allowed just 55.4 ppg at home and just 55 ppg in their last 5 games overall. The first meeting put up 171 points as both teams scored in the 80s, but that has me thinking that the defenses will really come to play in this one. I look for a game in the mid to lower 130s.
