The Stanford Cardinal are on the road tonight in Pac 12 College Basketball, taking on the California Golden Bears. The game is scheduled for an 11:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPNu. Currently the odds for the game have Stanford favored on the road to get the win.

Stanford is a pretty solid team out in the Pac 12, coming into tonight's game with an 11-4 record. The problem for the Cardinal, though, is their inability to pick up big wins on the road, where three of their losses have come so far this season. Stanford has dropped games at DePaul, at BYU and at UCLA in double overtime. Johnny Dawkins' team, though, is very solid and needs to find a way to pick up a win in this one.

What has happened to California, by the way? The Golden Bears were 10-1 at one point in the season, only losing to Texas, but California has found a way to drop five of their last six games overall, including a losses to Cal State Bakersfield, Washington State and USC. 

Chasson Randle is the key for Stanford tonight. Randle pours in 19.3 points per game and should be able to take advantage of California tonight. Randle is a very fluid player and makes his teammates better. Anthony Brown and Stefan Nastic both average double figures as well and give the Cardinal an advantage on the interior tonight. Brown and Nastic combined average 29 points and 14 boards a game.

Tyrone Wallace is a Pac-12 potential player of the year candidate, if is team was better. Wallace bruises opposing defenses for 18.2 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. The Golden Bears have talent on the roster, but they've been too inconsistent all season and the team is struggling for it.

Rebounding will be key and neither team is exceptional at it. Stanford has a couple of tough games coming up against Connecticut and Arizona, but both games are at home. If the Cardinal come focused into this game tonight and don't look past the Golden Bears, they can pick up the win on the road as the oddsmakers expect.

California is struggling too much right now.
