The Arizona Wildcats play host to the Washington Huskies tonight in Pac 12 College Basketball. The game is scheduled for a 9:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the Betting Odds for the game have the Wildcats favored on the road by double digits.
Arizona could be the best team out west, ranking seventh in the country and bringing a team to Washington that already has 20 wins on the year. The Wildcats are coming off a pretty bad loss on the road at Arizona State, although it was a close contest. Losing on the road in rivalry games happens, but Arizona State is a very poor team.
Sean Miller's Wildcats will have to get it back together tonight. Washington is even worse than Arizona State, sitting next to last in the Pac 12 standings with a 3-8 record. The Huskies have been inconsistent all season and it's going to take a monumental effort in this one tonight to knock off Arizona. The Wildcats are loaded with talent and coming off a loss they'll be ready to dominate the Huskies in this one.
Arizona is also looking to run down Utah in the Pac 12 standings. The Utes have a game lead over Arizona, but the Wildcats will look to draw even in the win column tonight, led by Stanley Johnson, who averages almost 15 points and seven rebounds per game. He'll be the best player on the floor tonight and a problem for the Huskies. Arizona also gets 11 per game from Brandon Ashley and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.
Washington is led by Nigel Williams-Goss at 15.3 points per game and actually had three other players in double digits per game. Problem is they've only out-scored opponents by an average of four points per game this year, which makes for close games and Washington is not good enough to win most of those games.
Look for Arizona to impose their will on the road in this one. They are clearly the better overall team and it will show tonight as they look to bounce back from a poor performance against Arizona State,
