Odds To Win British Open

The third major of the year has come down to the final 18 holes and Lee Westwood is leading the way. Currently he tops the list of the Odds To Win British Open as he holds a 2-stroke lead over Americans Hunter Mahan and Tiger Woods. The stage is set as some of the best players in the world attempt to track down Westwood and win the coveted Claret Jug.

Odds To Win British Open

Lee Westwood 7/4 (1.75 to 1), Tiger Woods 2/1, Adam Scott 7/1, Phil Mickelson 20/1, Henrik Stenson 20/1, Angel Cabrera 25/1, Zach Johnson 30/1, Ryan Moore 40/1, Jason Day 50/1, Francesco Molinari 60/1, Sergio Garcia 60/1, Brandt Snedeker 60/1, Dustin Johnson 80/1, Migel Angel Jimenez 125/1, Jamie Donaldson 125/1, Hideki Matsuyama 150/1 and Field (all others) 50/1.

We have quite a bit of storylines heading into the final 18 holes at The Open Championship. Woods has never won a major when he trailed the leader after 54 holes. Westwood has never won a major, period. Adam Scott blew up at at Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire, England last year, leading by four strokes heading into the final 18 holes over Graeme McDowell and Brandt Snedeker. Yet Scott finished one stroke behind Ernie Els in one of the most heartbreaking PGA events in some time. Yet, Scott rebounded and picked up a win at The Masters this year to silence his doubters. Can he repeat the magic from Augusta on Sunday? He's three shots off the lead.

Woods will play in the second final grouping on Sunday with Scott. The final group will pair Westwood and Mahan. There are several great players left in the tournament and several of them are left in striking distance as well. Perhaps someone will be able to post a score while Westwood is still out on the course? Entirely possible. But Westwood will certainly know what number he has to get to if that's the case.
