The red hot Miami Dolphins will look to continue their current win streak when they meet the Indianapolis Colts later today. Miami has won its last three games, beating the Bengals, Rams and Jets, and it has covered the number in three of its last four outings. Quite simply, it would seem the Dolphins are evolving into a dangerous team with the season’s second half just beginning to rear its head.

What cannot be lost in the Miami hype, though, is how well their opponent, Indianapolis, is playing right now as well. The Colts have won three of their last four games, and they earned their first road win of the season last weekend, beating the Titans 19-13 in overtime.

Indy is also 3-1 at home this season where it owns wins over Minnesota, Green Bay, and Cleveland. Yes, Miami is riding high, and its 30-9 destruction of the Jets in New York last Sunday was impressive, but, as Jerry Glanville used to say, the NFL stands for ‘Not for Long’.

That quip is particularly true in the case of the Dolphins after they have faced the Jets. Miami is 0-13 straight up in its last 13 post-New York outings. Conversely, the Colts are 4-0 both straight up and against the spread in their last four games as a home underdog.
