The Cleveland Browns will chase their third win today as they face the Cowboys at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas (1:00pm ET start time, CBS). The latest NFL Sunday Cleveland Browns at Dallas Cowboys Odds are predicting an unsuccessful foray for Pat Shurmur’s crew, though, as they Pokes are listed as a -7.5 against the spread home favorite. The Browns are getting +290 moneyline odds ($100 wins $290) and the Over/Under is set at 43.5 points.
Unfortunately for the Browns their 2012 season has looked all too Cleveland-esque with the team sitting dead last in the AFC North with a 2-7 record. The Browns have been anything but quitters, though, pushing a number of their while staying an arm’s length away from victory.
They are hoping their efforts result in something more than a close call in today’s showdown with the Cowboys. Dallas is the better team on paper and it has produced better results on the field, as evidenced by its 4-5 record; however, it is not beyond a mystery performance, particularly at home.
For whatever the reason, Cowboys Stadium has not provided much of an advantage for the Pokes and that has not changed this season with Dallas sporting a 1-2 home record. A quick look at the stat sheet reveals most of the Cowboys troubles at home are a result of turnovers, but it is anyone’s guess as to why they are even in turnover margin on the road but -9 as a host.
Should Dallas take care of the ball, a seven or more point win seems realistic, but who really wants to count on Tony Romo and company taking care of the ball?
