The Chicago Bears will look to bounce back from a week two loss at Green Bay when they host the St. Louis Rams at Soldier Field this afternoon (1:00pm ET start time, FOX). Rams at Bears Odds like Chicago to do just that as it is a -7 against the spread home favorite and a -320 money line play in today’s game. This afternoon’s game total is set at 43 points.

Jay Cutler has always been fond of two things: inserting his foot into his mouth and mistaking the opposing secondary for his receivers. Consequently, Cutler probably enjoyed a wonderful week because he did both of those in abundance last Thursday in Green Bay.

In a game many felt the Bears had the chops to be competitive, they fell 10-23 thanks, in large part, to four Cutler interceptions. Certainly the Vanderbilt product was not afforded great protection in the division setback, but his sideline antics and post game finger pointing only further endeared him to an adoring public.

Cutler and Chicago can get back into the good graces of Bears fans today, though, they just need to win. Given the line, that seems like a foregone conclusion; however, the Rams play would suggest it is not.

St. Louis nearly pulled off a major week one upset in Detroit and it did come through last week, knocking off the favored Redskins (three points) 31-28 at the Edward Jones Dome. Despite three turnovers, the Rams piled up 452 total yards against Washington as Sam Bradford (26-of-35, 310 yards, three touchdowns, one interception) looks to have returned to his rookie form.

Considering the points these two teams have piled up this season (average game score of 51 points), perhaps the Over 43 in the best play in this NFC tilt.
