The Pittsburgh Steelers hit the road in NFL football action on Sunday when they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on CBS. Currently the odds for the game have the Steelers favored to pick up the win in this contest.
Pittsburgh found a way to lose last week, leading over the lowly Tampa Bay Bucs in the fourth quarter but allowing a Vincent Jackson touchdown late. It would seem because of that the Steelers would want to come out in this one and play well, get on the scoreboard early and find a way to pick up a comfortable win.
Ben Roethlisberger should be able to lead the Steelers to a win here, but note the Steelers do have Cleveland on deck, so they might not be the most focused here. Mike Tomlin can't be happy with how his team has played recently, but those mistakes can be fixed.
Jacksonville comes in allowing opposing quarterbacks to throw for better than 320 yards per game this season, the worst mark in the league. They're 0-4 on the campaign and each team has scored at least 33 points against Jacksonville on the year. If the Steelers aren't able to put up points in this one, Tomlin probably won't be happy again.
The Jaguars are -5 in the turnover differential this season, Pittsburgh sits at -1. The switch for Jacksonville to Blake Bortles has them feeling excited for the near future, but the quarterback position isn't the only one where the Jaguars need a switch or two.
But with the Steelers only being 2-2 on the season, they have been pretty stable offensively. Roethlisberger has been able to move the football down field and Pittsburgh does run well. Look for them to stabilize this game early and come away with a comfortable win.
