The Detroit Lions are hosting the Los Angeles Rams in NFL Football action on Sunday. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on FOX. The NFL Odds for the game have the Lions favored to pick up the victory at home.
Total: 43.5 points
The Rams and Lions have both struggled to open the season, but LA did win three of its last four games coming into this one. They’re a bit banged up on the defensive side of the football and will be without some guys in this one, the Lions will have to find a way to capitalize and put some points on the board.
Matthew Stafford seems to be having no issues still spreading the football around with solid targets Marvin Jones Jr., Golden Tate and Anquan Boldin. Stafford has thrown for 10 touchdowns and is completing 68 percent of his passes.
The defense will be the key for the Lions here. Los Angeles is making the dreaded trip from the West Coast to play in the 1 p.m. kickoff time slot. Case Keenum hasn’t been the best QB this season, he’s completing less than 58 percent of his passes this season and has more interceptions (5) than touchdowns (4). Detroit gets its best defensive player back in Ziggy Ansah on the front line, they will bring pressure from up front on Keenum most of the game as the Lions look to take control defensively.
Los Angeles is playing its fourth road game in six weeks.
