The Tennessee Titans are hosting the Green Bay Packers in NFL Football action on Sunday. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on FOX. The NFL Odds for the game have the Packers favored to pick up the victory on the road.
Green Bay -2.5
Total: 48.5 points
Green Bay has fallen to 4-4 on the season after dropping a second straight game last week, 31-26 to Indianapolis. The Packers slept walked through the first three-plus quarters in that game and finally got it going in the fourth, but it was too late for them to overcome the deficit.
The Packers have now lost three of four games overall and have an odd stretch coming up with three straight road games — at Tennessee, at Washington and at Philadelphia. Green Bay is third in the NFC North standings behind Minnesota and Detroit and will need to get it figured out in order to stay on the potential path for the playoffs.
Tennessee is coming off a loss where they scored 35 points at San Diego. The defense for the Titans has been an issue the last month, opponents have scored an average of better than 31 points per game.
Marcus Mariota has directly given away five touchdowns to opponents this season. Whether it was a fumble or an interception return, Mariota has had a play end with the defense for the other team in the end zone and Tennessee is 0-3 in those games. That has to stop for Tennessee to start to move forward.
Green Bay needs Aaron Rodgers to start playing with a sense of urgency the entire game. He’s looked a bit passive as times this season and despite the poor start to the season, Green Bay can get a win here to jumpstart the second half.
