The Giants are still the only team to beat Dallas this season, knocking off the Cowboys in the opening week of the year. Since then the Cowboys have stormed the league with 11 consecutive wins, including winning all six of the road games to date as they’ve looked like the best team in pro football.
New York is 5-1 in home games this season. The Giants only home loss came against the Redskins early in the season in a game where they struggled with the football in the second half, kicking one field goal each in the third and fourth quarters. The Giants out-gained Washington in that loss but turned it over three times and could not overcome those problems.
Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliot have been magnificent all season for the Cowboys and each are going to be in the MVP?discussion if Dallas continues to win, as they should. While playing behind that offensive line could make a lot of people look good, the youngsters have taken their talents to another level and made Dallas arguably the best overall team in the NFC.
If you’re a believer in revenge spots, this is certainly one for Dallas. If they are able to run the football in this one that will be in a good position. The Giants are without Jason Pierre-Paul in this one, so being down one pass rusher could hurt the G-Men here. Eli Manning is going to have to play one of those games where they check the football down quite a bit and get chunks of yards to O’Dell Beckham. The Giants are also getting Shane Vereen back this week and he could be another strong weapon for Manning in the passing game. This has the makings of what should be an excellent game.
The Giants have beaten New York already and could be the only team to beat the Cowboys this regular season, the way it’s going.
