NFL Football Buffalo Bills at New England Patriots Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

The New England Patriots welcome in the Buffalo Bills in the final week of the NFL Football regular season on Sunday. The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on CBS. Currently the odds for the game have the Patriots as small favorites to pick up this win.

New England opened up as a double digit favorite to win this game, but with the top spot in the AFC wrapped up and home field advantage throughout, there’s no real point this week. Of course, having Bill Belichick as head coach might change that just a bit. Tom Brady is expected to start this one and could see a lot of time in this one, as with most of the Patriots starters.

But it’s hard to determine just how much the starters will play. The Patriots dropped two of their first three games but since then have been the best team in football. In this game they’ll take on a Buffalo team that is still probably upset about last week.

The Bills had a chance to keep their playoff hopes alive, but lost on the road to the Oakland Raiders and had their post season chances dashed. How will they respond this week, playing on the road in New England?

Buffalo’s defense has been very solid this season, as they’ve picked up wins in close contests when the offense has struggled.

Kyle Orton hasn’t been bad as the Bills QB, but having a consistent explosive threat has cost Buffalo some games. If the Bills were able to stretch the field vertically and get big plays, the run game and Orton’s check-down frenzy could work.

But so far this season, it hasn’t.

It won’t be easy for Buffalo to win this game, and the motivation for both clubs with absolutely nothing but draft spots on the line comes into play. New England has been spot-on when playing at home and if Brady starts and plays more than a half, the Patriots should be on track to win.

We don’t think Buffalo will just roll over in this one, but beating New England on the road, even at this point, seems like a tough task.

Free Pick: New England 31, Buffalo 24
