The reeling New York Knicks will look to snap out of their funk tonight as they battle the Portland Trail Blazers in the Beaver State. Start time in this evening’s clash between the Knicks and Trail Blazers is set for 10:30pm ET at the Rose Garden; the game will be broadcast live on TNT. The latest NBA Odds have Portland listed as a -6 against the spread and -245 moneyline favorite. Tonight’s game total is set at 194.5 points.

The Knicks Atlantic lead narrowed to 1.5 games last night as they were crushed 117-94 by the Nuggets at the Pepsi Center. Unfortunately for New York, which got drilled 92-63 at Golden State on Monday, it will have little time to recover from yesterday’s shellacking.

The Knicks boarded a plane for Portland following the Denver game, putting them in one of the more unenviable back to back situations. Making matters worse for New York are the injuries it sustained against the Nuggets. Both Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler left last night’s contest with knee issues and neither player is expected to play in tonight’s game.

The Trail Blazers, who are 1-3 in their last four games and coming off a 102-97 home loss to the Grizzlies, have their own injury woes as LaMarcus Aldridge (hand and migraines) and Nicolas Batum (wrist) are listed as questionable and probable, respectively, for this evening’s game.

Portland does own 20 home wins, though, and it is 3-1 in its last four games against the Knicks at the Rose Garden.

It is easy to see how the weary Knicks, who are in the midst of a five game road swing, could mail in it against the Blazers this evening and live to fight for Sunday’s meeting with the Clippers at the STAPLES Center.
