Nebraska Cornhuskers at Miami Hurricanes College Football Betting Odds, Start Time

The Nebraska Cornhuskers are on the road in college football action Saturday, traveling to take on the Miami Hurricanes. The game is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on ABC or ESPN2, depending on the market. Currently the odds for the game have the Hurricanes favored to pick up a victory at home.

Nice old school battle being revived here between Nebraska and Miami. The Cornhuskers are a Hail Mary from BYU away from entering this game at 2-0, but that’s college football. Mike Reilly’s team got back on track last week, though, beating up on UT San Antonio 48-9.

Miami comes in 2-0, they’ve beaten up on Bethune Cookman and Florida Atlantic. Defensively they are going to have to stay tough against Nebraska as the Huskers. Nebraska comes into this game piling up an average of 503 yards per game, but they’ve given up 421.5 as well. Miami’s defense has understandably been solid defensively, allowing their two opponents only 234 yards per game overall.

Tommy Armstrong Jr. has thrown for five scores and almost 600 yards in the two games for Nebraska, the Huskers have also been controlling the game on the ground with an average of 5.2 yards per carry as well. Terrell Newby has three scores on the ground to lead the Husker attack.

Miami has been great in turnover differential so far, sitting at +6 for the year. Nebraska is +1 themselves, turnovers will no doubt be important in this one.

Brad Kaaya has thrown three touchdowns so far this season, completing 63 percent of his passes as well. The Hurricanes have been very solid on the ground as well, averaging 6.0 yards per carry with seven touchdowns. Mark Walton has scored four times to lead the way.

Miami should be interested in this one as well. The Canes struggled against Florida Atlantic the first couple of quarters last week, the two teams were tied 20-20 before Miami put the hammer down and scored 24 straight points.

This could be an awesome game and Nebraska should be able to keep this one close. The Huskers have been efficient offensively and that will help them in this one.
