The Florida Gators will be taking on the East Tennessee State Buccaneers in college basketball action on Thursday. The game is scheduled for a 3:10 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on truTV. Florida is the trendy pick to lose in this matchup for whatever reason. The Gators are 24-8 and have lost three of the last four games overall, so that might have something to do with it. But prior to the recent struggles, the Gators had won nine straight games and clobbered Kentucky during the process.

The Buccaneers are a pretty strong offensive team, averaging 80 points per game, but they aren’t very efficient, ranking only 109th in the country in offensive efficiency numbers. but that’s because they turn it over 15 times per game, which is good for 312th in the country. For what it’s worth, T.J. Cromer leads the Buccaneers in scoring at 19.2 points a game, Desonta Bradford also averages in double figures as well. 

Florida can play defense and they are strong enough offensively to win comfortably here. The consecutive losses to Vanderbilt to end the season are a bit troubling, but Florida is better than they played in those contests and they are playing in Orlando here.
