NCAA Basketball Picks Boise State Broncos vs New Mexico Lobos

College basketball on Tuesday night and wee will see the Boise State Broncos travel to University Arena in New Mexico to take on the New Mexico Lobos. The game has a start time of 9:15 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on CBSSN. Vegas odds have the Lobos listed as 5.5 point favorites, while the total sits at 142.

Analysis: The Boise State Broncos come in off back to back wins over Nevada and Utah State to run their record to 13-5 overall and 3-2 in the MWC. Boise State comes in averaging 79.2 on the year, but just 70.8 ppg in conference play, and they are shooting just 41% in conference play as well. Anthony Drmic leads the way against the rest of the MWC with his 16.6 ppg, followed by Marks (14.2 ppg) and Watkins (13.0 ppg), the latter also accounting for a massive 12.6 rpg as well. Speaking of rebounding, the Broncos do have a solid +10 rebounding margin for the year. Defensively, the Broncos have allowed just 68.4 ppg on 43.7% shooting.

As for the Lobos, they've won six of the last seven games, but that one setback was a rare defeat at home versus UNLV last Wednesday. The Lobos come in putting up 77.4 ppg on 44.2% shooting, while on defense they have allowed just 40.2% shooting, resulting in 71.3 ppg allowed. Cameron Bairstow continues to lead the New Mexico offense with his team-high 20.5 ppg, to go along with 7.2 rpg. Alex Kirk leads the team in rebounding, at 9.3 rpg, while also putting in 13.9 ppg on the year. Kendall Williams checks in with 17.8 ppg, and has 90 assists on the year, which is more than twice as many as his closest teammate.

Pick: Going with the Lobos in this one. New Mexico lost their last home game and will be out to make sure that doesn't happen again. Boise state has won two in a row but Utah State and Nevada are not up to par with the Lobos, especially in this building. I look for New Mexico to take this one by 8 or more.
